Dakota Introduces Blender Option for the 440 TurfTender™

E. Grand Forks, MN. February 25, 2008 --  Dakota Peat & Equipment has introduced an eight cubic foot blender option for the 440 Turf Tender that allows superintendents to blend materials on site. It was designed in response to customer requests for greater flexibility in blending topdressing mixes, particularly in those areas of the country where suppliers are unable to provide a perfect 90:10 Dakota Peat mix.

The  Blender features a 1.5" gate opening that allows superintendents to blend a variety of materials including colored mixes with the sprayer option. The blender can mix at speeds as low as 1 ton per hour for small jobs like divot mixes or can mix as high as 60 tons per hour for bigger jobs like repairing or rebuilding greens.

Blended materials come off the side conveyer of the 440 Turf Tender to give superintendents the flexibility to fill another machine, a green or a tee box, or simply create a pile for later use. The new blender option can be installed on all existing 440 Turf Tender models and is easy to remove when blending is completed.
